In June 2014, we published the educational resource, “Is that legal? Understanding Canadian Law about issues of online harassment, exploitation, and abuse.” In March 2015, some changes to the law occurred when Bill C-13 came into effect; therefore, we created an insert for the “Is that legal?” resource to provide updates and corrections. We ask that you please read the insert alongside the original educational resource and enclose the insert with any printed copies of “Is that legal?”

This legal guide was developed for youth as part of our Legal Responses to Cyber Misogyny project. It explains the law regarding five common scenarios that young people may find themselves in with respect to life online.
