Thank you for your interest in volunteering with West Coast LEAF! Volunteers support all aspects of our work advancing women’s equality. We could not do it without you!
Only Yes Means Yes Workshop Development Advisor
We are excited to be developing a brand new workshop about sexual assault law for post-secondary students in BC during the 2017-2018 school year. Are you a post-secondary student with a sharp social justice analysis and a passion for anti-violence work? Or a lawyer who would be willing to review materials for legal accuracy? Or a post-secondary institution employee who can share insights about how to reach students in all their diversity? You may want to get involved in Only Yes Means Yes! Visit our project page to learn more.
InDesign Report Layout Volunteer
Are you well-versed in Adobe InDesign and passionate about pushing for a more equal BC? Have we got a graphic design volunteer gig for you! We are looking for a volunteer to lay out our 2017 CEDAW Report Card, our high-profile annual assessment of BC’s performance on international commitments to women’s human rights, using an existing InDesign template. We expect that this would be a commitment of about 5 to 10 hours, possibly less, in October and November 2017. And if that’s not enough for you, we are likely to have many other InDesign volunteer opportunities in the future!
Please send your resume, a sample of a document you’ve created in InDesign, and information about your availability to Alana at education [dot] westcoastleaf [dot] org. We appreciate your interest in supporting West Coast LEAF more than we can say!
Access Database Volunteer
Are you a whiz at designing and building Access databases? We’re looking for someone who can help to design and/or rebuild an existing database. Some data entry will be required. You could be a superhero for West Coast LEAF’s data management system and help us power up our efforts for a more equal society!
We are asking for an initial commitment of 5-7 hours to familiarize yourself with the project and put together a proposal for completing it. This role will likely require a minimum commitment of 3 to 4 hours a week for 6 weeks.
Please send a resume and your availability on weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm to Basya at development [at] westcoastleaf [dot] org. Thanks for your interest in supporting our work here at West Coast LEAF!
