Amy is a racialized settler who was born and raised on the lands of the Coast Salish peoples in so-called Surrey and currently resides on the unceded and stolen territories of the the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skxwú7mesh (Squamish) and səlil̓wətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples. She has a background in communications and outreach with previous work at the BC Civil Liberties Association and holds a BA with a Double Honours in English Literature and Political Science from UBC. Amy is excited to join West Coast LEAF, even for a short time, to help with the 2023 Equality Breakfast while she completes her Masters in English from Simon Fraser University.
